Highgate Hill Doctors were very happy to have Dr Ellen Rozis join us in 2017 after relocating from her practice in Redlands. She has a young family of her own and when not hanging with them or chasing her daughter about in the park, she pursues medical problems here at Highgate Hill!

Dr Ellen Rozis graduated from the University of Queensland in 2005 and completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2013. She is registered for Maternity Shared Care at the Mater Mothers Hospital. Dr Ellen has had a rich and varied hospital experience before General Practice training and her thoughts on more complex medical issues we face here at Highgate Hill are always sought after.

Dr Ellen is passionate about all aspects of General Practice, with special interests in women’s, children’s and family health.

Dr Ellen Rozis works on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and every fourth Saturday.

Dr Michael Naue

Dr Michael Naue is a highly experienced General Practitioner that has a special interest in sports injuries and the management of acute musculoskeletal conditions. He holds post-graduate qualifications in Sports Medicine as well as Obstetrics and Gynaecology and offers non-judgemental, non-rushed care to his patients. Dr Naue also provides help to those with Mens Health Issues, Skin cancer and skin checks and minor procedures and injuries.

He spends his spare time with his wife and two children and when not cycling, he likes to bushwalk and attempt to balance his surf ski!

Dr Naue works Monday – Friday and some Saturdays and welcomes new patients.

Dr Ian Mannion

Dr Ian Mannion is known for his warm manner and thorough style. For the past nine years, he has been passionately committed to general patient and family care in the West End and Highgate Hill area. With a deep love for all areas of medicine and its complexities, he has developed interests in external ear infections and ear clearance, traveller’s health and infectious disease, industrial medicine, dive medicine and heterosexual and LGBTQ+ sexual health. Dr Ian Mannion is the principle GP for Queensland Ballet and has an interest in musculoskeletal disorders.

Dr Mannion has been practicing medicine in the region for thirty years since his initial training at the Mater Hospital. His experience is broad with extensive hospital training, rural practice and emergency medicine. He has been a lecturer at the University of Queensland teaching medical students in the field of general practice. Dr Mannion has helped to set up refugee counselling services as well as a refugee health clinic at the Mater.

Dr Mannion works every weekday and every second Saturday.

Dr Laurel Moore

Dr Laurel Moore is a caring and highly competent GP, making patients feel cared for and listened to. Dr Laurel is meticulous in her care and has developed a characteristic style. Dr Laurel is passionate about all aspects of General Practice with special interests in Women’s and Children’s health, Sexual Health (both heterosexual and LGBTQ), and breast cancer.

Laurel graduated from the University of Queensland in 1980. She completed her specialist GP training at the University of California, San Francisco where she learnt Spanish and then was the Director of St Anthony Free Clinic in San Francisco – a clinic for homeless and refugees. On her return to Australia in the late 80’s she worked in Indigenous Health Care as both a practitioner and then lecturer at the University of Qld. Dr Laurel Moore also served on the board of the Mater Hospitals as a community representative for almost 10 years. Dr Laurel Moore has been practicing medicine in the West End and Highgate Hill area for over 20 years. She lives with her family locally.

Dr Moore works Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Dr David Carroll

Dr David Carroll was warmly welcomed to Highgate Hill Doctors in 2017 after relocating from his practice on Stradbroke Island. He has been pursuing skin cancer diagnostic and surgical skills for twenty years now. He also enjoys industrial and workers’ compensation medicine as well as ear clearance, where he and Dr Mannion are two of Brisbane’s most experienced ear clearance GPs for difficult wax and external ear infections.

He has obtained his Master’s in Medicine (Skin Cancer) at University of Qld.

Dr Carroll works on Tuesday, Thursday and every second Wednesday.
